I have served terms as both Parent and LA governor. I currently sit on the Curriculum, Finance and Premises committee and am responsible for monitoring the School's provision and implementation of Special Educational Needs (SEND) throughout the school. I spent 23 years in the legal profession before retiring on health grounds, and for the past six or so years my wife and I have been fostering full time for HCC. I am not related to any current school staff or pupils but my wife worked at the school for many years as a TA. Our two boys attended High Wych school, now aged 23 and working repairing and maintaining hydraulic lifts, and the other aged 20, currently reading Biology at Portsmouth University.

I am a Parent governor and have 3 children at the school, in different year groups. My background is in finance and consulting; I have 20 years experience of advising investors and companies as an investment banker; also as a business mentor for the government backed Start-Up Direct programme, and have served as both an executive and non-executive director of various companies in the consumer and services sectors. I grew up in a family of teachers in a rural community, and believe strongly in supporting the school in achieving the very best for all of our children, and in the right way. |

I am a Parent Governor with two children currently at the school, one of which is in Reception and one in Nursery. Prior to having children I worked as a secondary school teacher both in England and abroad, teaching children from aged 3-18, giving me a broad understanding of the education system, policies and several styles of teaching and learning. I am extremely passionate about the welfare and education of all children and prior to having my second child I had only ever worked with children in a variety of educational settings. I am looking forward to being able to use my qualifications and experience to help support the school as part of the governing body. |

I am currently the Chair of Governors and sit on the Finance, Personnel, Curriculum and Premises committees. I am a 'Foundation Governor' due to my association with St James Church. I work for Hertfordshire County Council and manage a supported housing and short breaks scheme which provides accommodation for adults with learning disabilities. My daughter is a former pupil of the school from Nursery age and because of this I became involved as a school governor. |
