Updates on the National Education Nature Park/RHS Grant
We are delighted to share that all phases of our garden transformation project are now complete.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work, creativity and determination in transforming what was once a neglected and collapsed flower bed into a real show-stopper for our school community.
The pond area, woodland planting and additional flower beds have now all been completed, creating a beautiful and welcoming outdoor environment for pupils, staff and visitors to enjoy.
Our aim has been to bring colour, life and biodiversity to these areas of the school, transforming a previously grey corner into a vibrant green space filled with flowers, wildlife-friendly planting and opportunities for outdoor learning.
Looking ahead, Key Stage 1 pupils will take responsibility for maintaining two of the flower beds throughout the year, helping them develop a sense of ownership and pride in their environment. Two additional beds have also been set aside for pupils' own planting projects, providing exciting opportunities for hands-on learning and creativity.
We look forward to seeing the area flourish in the seasons ahead and watching it become a thriving habitat for both wildlife and our school community.
National Education Nature Park/RHS Grant
We are delighted to share that High Wych CE Primary School has been awarded a grant through the National Education Nature Park and RHS initiative. This is a wonderful achievement for our school and a testament to the passion and commitment of our Eco Council and our staff Eco Team.

Our Tyre Construction Area
This summer, we developed a dynamic play area with tyres set in soft mulch and a variety of loose construction materials. Children can now build, balance, and explore—developing engineering skills, physical confidence, and imagination through joyful, hands-on play - and just have lots of fun!
